THE CONSORT

The Alpenglow Consort is a student-led instrumental ensemble at Caldera High School inclusive of various acoustic instruments. With the orchestral strings at it’s center, the Consort strives to bring the enthusiasm of students for music at Caldera for various genres and styles. Our music ranges from classical to jazz, pop, early music, irish music, bardcore, and more.

Instrumentation

The Alpenglow Consort is formed of three violinists, two violists, two saxophonists, two guitarists, a percussionist, and a bassist. The music we rehearse and perform varies, and is generally decided communally by our members.

Performances

Generally, we perform in the Caldera Auditorium and Media Center. Upcoming performances can be found here:

  • ☘️ Tuesday, March 17th – St. Patrick’s Day Performance

    The Alpenglow Consort will be performing various traditional celtic tunes, as well as other fitting tunes in the media center on Tuesday, March 17th.

  • 💕 Friday, February 13th, Thursday March 5th – Valentine’s Performances

    The Alpenglow Consort will be performing music in the media center on Friday, February 13th. There will be an additional performance in the auditorium on March 5th at the CHS/HDMS vertical concert.

  • 🌨️ Tuesday, December 16th, Thursday December 18th – Winter Performances

    The Alpenglow Consort performed wintery music in the auditorium on Tuesday, December 16th. There was an additional media center performance at lunch on Thursday, December 18th.
